Iberdrola España now has 1,800 public recharging points in the Valencia region
- All points supply 100% green energy, which contributes to decarbonisation and improves air quality.
- The company, which has more than 8,000 points nationwide, has put into operation more than 25% of the chargers installed in Spain during 2024.
Iberdrola España has now reached 1,800 public charging points for electric vehicles installed in the Valencia region and has surpassed 8,000 nationwide, after putting into operation more than 25% of the points installed in Spain during 2024, which consolidates its position as the most extensive public charging network in the country.
In addition to this infrastructure, which is already operational, there are nearly 4,000 more points throughout the country, including those under construction and awaiting paperwork, which will be available in the coming months.
Of the 1,800 points in operation in the Valencia region, approximately 25% are fast, super-fast and ultra-fast recharging points, which means that they are capable of recharging 200km of autonomy between 5 and 40 minutes, allowing any journey operated by the Iberdrola | bp pulse alliance to be made.
the high-power charging points have been developed and operated since last year by Iberdrola España | bp pulse, a 50:50 strategic partnership between the two companies to lead the deployment of fast and ultra-fast public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Spain and Portugal. Iberdrola España, which has continued to set up 10 recharging points every business day in Spain over the past year, thus demonstrates its commitment to electric mobility, the only mobility option that improves air quality and makes spaces more sustainable.
Iberdrola España's electric mobility strategy is based on the installation of charging points with different power ratings to allow users to select the option that best suits their needs at any given time.
Its charging points with less than 50 kW are in places where the driver will spend more time, for example, in shopping centers or supermarkets, while its aim with fast charging stations is to place one every 50 km or less to make long-distance trips possible.
All the points installed by Iberdrola España supply 100% green energy from renewable sources with a guarantee of origin (GdOS), which helps to combat climate change and achieve a transition to a fossil fuel independent model.
Users can access the company's network using the Iberdrola España's Public Recharging App, the most highly rated in the industry, where they can view and geolocate verified information on all chargers, check their operation in real time and reserve and pay from their mobile phones.
Charging at home
Iberdrola España's development of electric mobility also extends to the private sector for companies and residential customers, with with its public network brings the total to over 50,000 charging points.
In the private sector, it offers alternatives for domestic charging, with the most competitive rates in the industry, allowing drivers to go 1,000 km for 5 euros, and options for companies, where it offers turnkey products from the design, installation, maintenance and management of the charging point.
The mobility plan, launched by the company in 2016, was pioneer in its implementation. Today, its strategy envisages the installation of more than 100,000 charging points by 2025, including public, residential, company and car park charging points.
