Iberdrola España has promoted the celebration in Valencia of Enlit on the Road, a meeting that connects companies, industries and suppliers through digitszation, energy transition and electrification, organised by Enlit Europe, with the Energy Cluster of Valencia, institutions and companies in the industry.
Mario Ruiz-Tagle, CEO of Iberdrola España, stressed during the event’s opening that the economy’s electrification is synonymous with competitiveness and investment opportunities and that it provides energy autonomy, safety, economic and industrial growth and quality jobs, and highlighted the importance of having strong and resilient energy to be able to face the convulsive climate and international scenario.
Ruiz-Tagle stressed that the energy transition 'offers us numerous benefits as a country because we have abundant natural resources like sun, wind and water, which are essential for generating clean and competitive energy. We have to harness these resources through the use of renewable and storage technologies’.
The importance of smart grids is another of the aspects highlighted by the CEO of Iberdrola España during the conference, who indicated that they are essential for bringing clean and competitive energy to families and companies safely and reliably.
‘They’re key to making the energy transition possible, as they integrate renewables and connect large industrial projects, so we need a regulatory framework and a remuneration scheme that lets us invest more in robust, secure, digitised grids that are resilient to adverse phenomena’, Ruiz-Tagle stressed.
