i-DE training for firefighters from Burgos and Aranda de Duero, Castilla y León

i-DE, Iberdrola España's distribution company, within the framework of an agreement signed with 112, with trainers of technical units and its prevention personnel, has given technical seminars to firefighters from Burgos and Aranda de Duero (Castilla y León) on the risks and safety measures for the work that their members may have to carry out in the event of an emergency or incident in electrical installations or in their vicinity.

During the training, which was attended by more than 30 members of the Fire Brigade, it was explained how to identify an electrical installation, its topology, basic concepts of electricity, the effects of electrical current on the human body, risks and prevention when working in electrical installations and possible actions to be taken in or near them.

In Burgos, the training has been given to the 13 new incorporations to the Municipal Fire Station, closing a training cycle that has been extended for almost a year and with which Iberdrola Spain's distributor has reached all its personnel.

These seminars were inaugurated by the head of the company's Network business in Burgos and Soria, Roberto Rodríguez, and the heads of i-DE's Burgos and Soria sectors, Santiago Saiz and José Manuel Calvo, respectively, and Óscar Pablos, from the i-DE business, was in charge of providing the training.

With this type of initiative, the company demonstrates, once again, its commitment to training, prevention and the responsibilities that derive from it, with the ultimate goal of making the Fire Brigade aware of a risk that is invisible to the untrained eye.
