Work began this year on the construction of Iberdrola España's new offices in Cáceres with a new building to be located at Avenida de la Universidad, number 28, in the city of Cáceres.

These new central offices will replace those currently located on Calle Periodista Sánchez de Asensio and will house more than a hundred workers, in a building that will be more functional, modern and accessible.

Iberdrola España's new two-storey building will have nearly 2,000 square metres of floor space, which will house office, technical, training, medical services and changing room areas.

State-of-the-art energy efficiency

Designed to obtain an A energy rating, it will feature a battery of state-of-the-art sustainability and energy efficiency measures, such as solar photovoltaic canopies and heat recovery ventilation.

Outside, more than 3,000 square meters of parking will be provided, with more than 20 electric vehicle charging points, as part of the strategy of continuing to work towards decarbonisation.

A revitalising force for the future

This space will be located at an innovation hub in the city, as the University Hospital, the Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre, the future Energy Storage Centre and the University of Extremadura are just a few metres away.

In addition, this infrastructure contributes to enhance access to Cáceres from Madrid, thanks to a new building that is integrated into a modern urban environment with a careful design conceived to be an aesthetic point of reference.

Cooperation agreement

This move is also part of a cooperation agreement between the city council of Cáceres and the energy company in an operation linked to Madruelo and the land that Iberdrola España had in Ronda de Vadillo, which will be transferred to the city council, to facilitate access to the collection of the planned music museum.

The work has a budget of more than €7.1 M and is scheduled for completion by the end of next year.

This project is an example of Iberdrola España's strong commitment to Extremadura. The company is one of the economic drivers of the region, with an impact in 2024 of more than €530 M and purchases of €60 M from more than a hundred suppliers. It also has a workforce of more than 270 employees in Extremadura.
