Con este compromiso, Iberdrola España contribuye a potenciar los éxitos del deporte femenino, favorece la igualdad de oportunidades y fomenta hábitos saludables en la sociedad desde edades tempranas.
Iberdrola, a group of which Iberdrola España is a member, is committed with the big event of the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, which will be played until August 20. It has travelled there with an expedition made up of three luxury ambassadors: Sandra Sánchez, Queralt Castellet and Lucía Martiño.
The karateka, the snowboarder and the surfer have moved to New Zealand to support the national team, both in the training of the girls in Auckland and in the match against Zambia.
There they were able to greet the Iberdrola Ambassadors, the national team players Alexia Putellas and Irene Paredes. All of them agreed on the importance of Iberdrola's support for women's sports which, in the words of Queralt Castellet, "is enormous, crucial for the careers of sportswomen", something that was also expressed by the captain of the national team, Ivana Andrés, when she thanked the company "a pioneer in supporting women's sports" for "believing in the players".
Today, the Spanish national team trained at the North Harbour Stadium in Auckland in what was the last official training session before its second group stage match against the Africans, which will be played tomorrow Wednesday at 9:30 am Spanish time at the Auckland Eden Park stadium.
After the opening match against Costa Rica, which ended in a 3-0 win for the Spanish, the Ambassadors met with the team to give them all their energy ahead of their second match.
Despite the rain, present in recent training sessions, the team has been working hard to continue to grow after their first match. Although there were very good sensations, Costa Rica had chances that the girls of La Roja intend to avoid in the match against Zambia.
Surely the visit of Sandra Sanchez, Queralt Castellet and Lucia Mariño, drives them to continue with more strength. Because, although they play, we all dream.
