Iberdrola España launches three charging points for electric vehicles in Tarragona
- The charging infrastructure, located in the OCINE Les Gavarres car park, has four electrified spaces.
- The energy used by users to charge the batteries is 100% green, coming from renewable energy sources.
Iberdrola España and OCINE are joining forces to promote sustainable mobility in Tarragona. Both companies have set up a charging infrastructure with capacity for four electric vehicles in the car park of the Les Gavarres shopping centre.
The company has installed two 50 kW fast charging points and a 22 kW semi-fast double point, which will allow charging 24 hours a day. To carry out the agreement, Iberdrola España has provided the equipment, its installation and management, and OCINE has provided the land in the car park where the chargers are located.
It should be noted that users of these facilities will charge the battery of their electric cars with 100% green energy, from renewable generation sources, with a guarantee of origin certificate (GdO) and the charging points will be located in the Iberdrola Public Charging App, from which you can geolocate the charger, check its operation in real time and book and pay from your mobile phone.
The company currently has 15 charging stations for electric vehicles in service in the province of Tarragona and has plans for ultra-fast charging facilities - over 320 kW - on the main A-7 and AP-7 provincial roads, and super-fast charging facilities - from 120 to 200 kW - at more than 30 sites which, once they are up and running, will mean more than 60 new charging stations for electric vehicles.
