During this time, the electricity company has sent more than 139 million communications via notifications with advice on how to reduce energy consumption without sacrificing comfort in the home.
Iberdrola España's customers receive these personalised recommendations thanks to an intelligent algorithm capable of estimating the energy expenditure corresponding to their household appliances, heating and lighting, data which it also compares with that collected from households with similar characteristics, enabling it to warn of non-efficient usage habits.
To this end, the company sends its messages via SMS and email, but also through its free APP and services such as the Smart Assistant. The company launched this ambitious information campaign in autumn 2022 with a view to the foreseeable exponential increase in gas prices due to the war in Ukraine and, thanks to the good results achieved, is currently maintaining it for all its customers.
