Iberdrola España pays tribute to long-standing and retired employees in the Basque Country
- The company holds an event in Bilbao as the group's recognition of the professionals who have contributed to Iberdrola España's growth and expansion.
- Álvaro Murga, Director of Human Resources in Spain, thanked them for their dedication to the company over the years.
- The 63 professionals from the Basque Country were joined by workers from Navarre and Zaragoza who received a memento for their time with the company.
Iberdrola España today held its traditional tribute to its ex-employees and those who have been with the company the longest in the Basque Country. On this occasion, the company brought together more than 63 employees who have been with the company for 25 and 40 years or who retired during the past year.
The meeting was attended by people from the different territories of the Basque Country, as well as professionals from Navarra and Zaragoza, whom the Director of Human Resources in Spain, Álvaro Murga, thanked for their dedication and commitment to the company over this time. "It’s an important day for all of us. Iberdrola España would like to pay tribute to those of you who have dedicated a large part of your lives to this important activity for society".

During all these years you have been the true protagonists of Iberdrola España's growth and success story", he said.
The honorees were accompanied by Iberdrola España executives, including Asís Canales, Iberdrola España's representative in the Basque Country and global director of People and Services of the Iberdrola Group, Xabier Viteri, global director of Iberdrola Renewables, Aitor Moso, global director of Iberdrola Customers, David Martínez, director of Iberdrola Energy España, Estíbaliz Goñi, director of Processes and i-DE technology at Iberdrola, and Javier Arriola, Director of the Northern Region of i-DE, the Iberdrola Group's distribution company.
The professionals received a memento for their years of dedication to Iberdrola España. Current employees who had been with the company for 25 years in 2023 were given a silver caravel, while employees who had been with the company for 40 years received a watch. Those who retired last year received a watch as well and were given a commemorative plate.
