What's the Iberdrola–bp pulse joint venture?
The Iberdrola | bp pulse joint venture, established in 2023, is the result of a strategic partnership between the two companies to lead deployment of fast and ultra-fast public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Spain and Portugal.
With an associated investment of €1 B, the company has set itself the goal of having 11,700 fast and ultra-fast charging points in operation by 2030, with which it plans to service all electric vehicle drivers.
The company seeks to democratise access to electric vehicles and encourage the transition to a more sustainable mobility model through implementing and commissioning an extensive, innovative and modern charging network.

Iberdrola España's commitment to sustainable mobility
Iberdrola España's electric mobility network has more than 8,100 public recharging points providing 100% renewable power, the most extensive in Spain. In addition, Iberdrola España's public and private network has 50 k charging points.
The company launched its mobility plan in 2016, and its current strategy includes the installation of more than 100 k charging points by 2025, distributed along highways, major corridors, cities and small towns, with a fast charging station every 50 km.
