Iberdrola España launches a renovation plan to facilitate the changeover from oil to aerothermal boilers

The energy company facilitates the transition with a discount of €1,000 until 31 October, equivalent to the estimated diesel consumption for a year.

The plan includes the management of public subsidies at no cost, which added to the help of the energy company allows the renovation with a 50% discount.
Iberdrola España reinforces its commitment to the energy transition and makes it easier for its customers to change their oil boiler for aerothermal energy. The company facilitates the renovation with a discount of €1,000 until 31 October 2023, equivalent to the estimated consumption of diesel for almost a year. In addition, it manages the application for public subsidies from the National Plan for Recovery, Transformation and Resilience, which can exceed €6,000, between direct and indirect aid, free of charge.
40% of emissions in Europe come from heating homes with fossil fuels. Various European programmes advocate accelerating the transition to renewable energies, mainly aerothermal energy. With this initiative, Iberdrola España facilitates this change with a total saving of up to 50% of the initial investment. In this way, the company is taking another step forward in its goal of achieving the transition to an emission-free economy.
Aerothermal energy, as opposed to oil boilers, being a renewable energy source, avoids combustion and its associated emissions, while at the same time achieving energy savings of up to 70% in heating energy in the case of underfloor heating and up to 40% in the case of radiators. In addition, this technology is safer as it eliminates the need for storage and dependence on fuel.
Aerothermal systems are heat pumps that extract energy from the air through a thermodynamic cycle to provide heating in winter, cooling in summer and hot water all year round. It is the most sustainable and cost-effective form of air conditioning as it is up to 4 times more efficient than an oil boiler, the only solution for many areas of Spain where historically there has been no access to gas.
Additionally, bill savings from aerothermal energy can be maximised in the case of combining this technology with photovoltaic panels. Furthermore, the energy not consumed by the fan heater can be used to cover the household's electricity consumption needs, which translates into greater savings.
Boosting energy rehabilitation
In its commitment to accelerating the energy transition and the development of new products to improve energy efficiency and savings, Iberdrola España has a customised solution with products that are personalised according to the characteristics of each home to achieve greater comfort, savings and efficiency.
In addition to aerothermal energy, the company proposes other complementary solutions such as the insulation of façades, walls and roofs, a measure that can reduce domestic energy costs for heating and cooling by up to 30%.
Or the installation of solar panels so that customers can generate their own 100% renewable electricity, which can save families up to 70% on their annual bill. This saving is produced by a triple route: the energy produced by the installation that the user does not have to buy, the compensation for the surplus energy not consumed, which is fed into the grid, and the saving due to lower taxes.
