Zamora On The March "XV CARRERA MUCHO X VIVIR 2023" takes to the streets again on 22 October

  • Aim: to beat 70% survival rate in cancer, thanks to research - the Association has created the largest national call for cancer research grants, with €10 million that will go towards a project that will meet the challenge of beating the 70% survival rate.

The Spanish Association Against Cancer in Zamora is once again taking to the streets with the organisation of the 15th MUCHO X VIVIR 2023 RACE "Zamora Against Cancer, with the main sponsorship of Iberdrola, on Sunday 22 October at 9.30 am for bikes and roller skates and at 11.30 am for runners and walkers, as announced during the presentation on Tuesday at the Association's headquarters. The event was attended by the Councillor for Sports of Zamora City Council, Manuel Alesander Alonso; the Deputy for Sports, Juan del Canto, from the Zamora Provincial Council, the Provincial President of the Association, Alfonso Fernández; the Iberdrola delegate in Castile and León, Miguel Calvo, and Laura Huertos from the Caja Rural Foundation.

Thanks to the Race, this year the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Zamora will continue to support the financing of various cancer research projects.

Iberdrola España Will once again be the main sponsor of the XV Carrera Mucho X Vivir 2023

The Zamora Race Against Cancer has the special support of Iberdrola as the main collaborator in Zamora. This is part of the agreement that both entities have to work, both in research to improve diagnosis and treatment against cancer, as well as for social awareness aimed at fighting the disease.

Iberdrola España and the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) have a long-standing relationship that was consolidated in 2015 with the signing of a collaboration agreement aimed at cancer research. The continued commitment of the company and its customers has made Iberdrola España the main private collaborator of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.

Among the most innovative initiatives developed within the framework of this agreement is Juntos contra el cáncer, a project through which Iberdrola offers its customers the possibility of collaborating with the association, pledging to double the amount they donate monthly through their electricity or gas bill.

Organization of this edition

The start and finish line will be located in the sports courts of the Ciudad Deportiva de Zamora (Obispo Acuña) and the 6-kilometer route can be done running, walking, cycling or rollerblading. Participants must be located from the starting line, respecting at all times, and mandatory compliance with the measures established by the authorities and the entity to ensure safety.

For security reasons we start the march at 09.30 h with the participation of bikes and skates and at 11.30 h runners and walkers modality. In the first line will be located the participants who will perform the test running and in the second line of departure will be located the people who perform the march walking. 
This test has a recreational-sporting and competitive nature and is open to all those who want to collaborate with the Spanish Association Against Cancer. 

Bib numbers

The bibs will be handed out at the time of registration -runners will pick up their bib-chip the day before the race from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Santa Clara Municipal Stand or the same day of the race at the Sports City 1 hour before the competition-. The first 8,500 registered participants will be given a T-shirt. 

People who want to collaborate and cannot attend the race can make their contribution with a dorsal 0 in CAJA RURAL DE ZAMORA in the account number: ES27 3085 0055 7314 0281 7116. 

In combination with the dorsal of each participant, there will be a raffle with gifts donated by the collaborating companies. The list of the winning bibs will be published in RRSS - zamoraenmarchaconchacontraelcancer.org -. The prizes will be delivered at the headquarters of the Association from Monday the 23rd for a period of one month. 

Registration and payment 

Registration costs 8 euros and with dorsal-chip 9 euros, the proceeds of which will go to cancer research. It can be formalized in any of the following ways: 

From September 25 to October 21:

  • Headquarters of the Association from Monday to Friday from 10.30 am to 2.00 pm.
  • Santa Clara Municipal Stand from Monday to Friday from 11.30 am to 2.00 pm and from 5.30 pm to 8.00 pm.
