Iberdrola España launches “Teatros Verdes Iberdrola” ("Iberdrola Green Theatres"), a project that will supply green energy to 16 of Madrid's most emblematic theatres, combining its commitment to environmental sustainability and decarbonisation with the promotion of culture.

The electricity company has been promoting and leading the production of renewable energy for decades, committed to its goal of achieving a greener future for the planet. A goal that requires the involvement of society as a whole and that must encompass every facet of our lives, including leisure and culture.

In line with this commitment to continue championing the energy transition, Iberdrola España now proposes to decarbonise the most representative theatres in the Spanish capital to offer spectators, who are increasingly aware of climate change, not only an unbeatable cultural experience, but also the opportunity to enjoy a more sustainable and eco-riendly leisure experience.

To this end, the utility signed a collaboration agreement with Ymás, a company specialising in cultural marketing and sponsorship, under which Teatros Verdes Iberdrola will include, among others, the Luchana, La Latina, Príncipe Gran Vía, Lara, Marquina, Amaya, Maravillas, Bellas Artes, Sanpol, Abadía, Reina Victoria, Pavón, Palacio de la Prensa, Arlequín and Teatro Eslava theatres.

To celebrate this new milestone and reward their loyalty, Iberdrola España is offering its customers exclusive experiences to enjoy the best plays and musicals to the fullest from the seat of one of these emblematic venues of Spanish theatre art.

In this context, 700 customers have already enjoyed a very special show of the musical El tiempo entre costuras at the La Latina theatre, where, among other surprises, they were able  to talk in the stalls with the actors, with the actress Laura Andrés as master of ceremonies.
