Iberdrola Group acquires 100% of Balantia to accelerate the decarbonisation of the companies

Iberdrola Group, of which Iberdrola España is part, acquires the 80% it did not control of Balantia, a company created in 2011 to develop energy efficiency and sustainability in companies, and to enable their decarbonisation and reduce their emissions and costs.
Iberdrola, which entered the firm's capital in 2019 through its start-up program, Perseo, has over the past four years put Balantia's technological capabilities to good use in more than 180,000 homes and companies, to which it has provided energy diagnostics and information to make decisions in this area.
The company, based in Spain but also developing projects in different European countries, was recently selected by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the VII Edition of the SME of the Year Award 2023 as one of the best 15 companies among the more than 1,750 submitted.
