The Chairman of the Iberdrola Group, Ignacio Galán, The president of the Iberdrola Group, Ignacio Galán, encourages the women's team to repeat the success of Australia and New Zealand in Paris

Ignacio Galán, the Chairman of the Iberdrola Group, of which Iberdrola España forms part, today attended the training camp of the Spanish women's national team at the Ciudad del Fútbol Sostenible in Las Rozas, headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), to convey to the players the unconditional support of the company and all its employees ahead of their participation in the games to be held in Paris.

Galán also expressed his confidence in the talent and ability of the players to win the tournament and highlighted their victories in Australia and New Zealand, as well as their recent successes. Spain are drawn in Group C, where they will compete for a place in the quarter-finals with Japan, Nigeria and Brazil.

For their part, the players, who will leave for their training camp in the city of Nantes on Sunday 21 July, thanked the chairman of Iberdrola Group for the company's support and underlined the electricity company's pioneering commitment to promoting equality through sport. 

Since 2016, Iberdrola España has been the main promoter of women's sport in Spain. It already supports 35 national federations, which bring together more than 800,000 federated women, and promotes more than 160 competitions.
