i-DE trains the National Police in Valladolid to act in risky situations in electrical installations

  • With the goal of making members of the State Security Forces sensitive to a risk that is invisible to the untrained eye.
  • This training was inaugurated by the sub-delegate of the Government in Valladolid, Jacinto Canales, the provincial chief commissioner of Valladolid, Francisco Javier Oterino, the director of Safety and Resilience of Iberdrola España, Manuel Martínez, the delegate of Iberdrola España in Castilla y León, Miguel Calvo, the director of i-DE in the region, Óscar Villanueva, and the territorial head of Safety Spain, Laureano Arias.

i-DE, Iberdrola España's distribution company, with trainers from technical units and its prevention staff, offered the Valladolid National Police a technical seminar on the risks and safety measures for the work that its members may have to carry out in the event of an emergency, incident or theft at or around electrical installations.

Attended by 40 members of the state security forces and corps, the talk explained how to identify an electrical installation, its topology, basic concepts of electricity, how an electrical current affects a human body, risks and prevention when working in electrical installations and possible actions in or around them. They also visited one of the company's substations.

This training session, organised by Safety and Resilience, i-DE and the National Police, within the framework of its bicentenary, was inaugurated by the government’s sub-delegate in Valladolid, Jacinto Canales, the chief commissioner of the Valladolid province, Francisco Javier Oterino, the Director of Safety and Resilience of Iberdrola España, Manuel Martínez, the Iberdrola España delegate in Castilla y León, Miguel Calvo, the director of i-DE in the region, Óscar Villanueva, and the territorial head of Safety Spain, Laureano Arias.

The training session was then taught by Michel Fernández Gomez de Cadiñanos, from the i-DE Business.

With this type of initiative, the company once again demonstrates its commitment to training, prevention and the responsibilities that derive from it, with the ultimate aim of making the state security forces and corps aware of a risk that is invisible to the untrained eye.
