I-DE, Iberdrola España's distribution company, renews its trust in Siemens for the technological upgrade of its control centres

• The companies sign a technology partnership deal to adapt systems to new demands with a Siemens Spectrum Power software upgrade.

I-DE, the company in charge of electricity distribution for Iberdrola España, and Siemens have renewed their technological collaboration agreement by updating the Spectrum Power software at the company's control centres in Spain.

With this update, the aim is to adapt the systems to the increase in distributed resources and to achieve a more sustainable and efficient energy landscape. This will give an important boost to the energy transition, decarbonisation and the objective of digitalisation pursued by both companies.

I-DE manages the maintenance and supply of energy to more than 11 million customers, including homes and businesses, in Spain. For more than 20 years, it has relied on Siemens' technological solutions to advance a sustainable and efficient energy transition.

This announcement took place during the Spectrum Power User Group Conference 2024 which was attended by more than 130 industry professionals from 47 international utilities.
