University–Business Technology Transfer

Iberdrola España restates in Zamora its commitment to entrepreneurship, talent, knowledge and sustainability and reaffirms its collaboration with the University of Salamanca, where it actively encourages the promotion of University-Business technology transfer, in a close partnership for the launch of R&D&I projects and training initiatives in areas of common interest.

Iberdrola España, creating value for society

Empresas Amigas Alumni (EAA), a joint project of Alumni and the Fundación General in collaboration with the Vice-Chancellery for Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, supported from the beginning by the Economic and Social Council of Castilla y León, has as its main objective to promote young talent, as well as to support the professional development of entrepreneurs and managers with a relationship to the university through public-private collaboration.

This ambitious project is articulated around three pillars with different lines of action. The first is talent, focused on improving employability by offering young people paid internships, and entrepreneurship by providing entrepreneurs with personalised professional support. The second is knowledge, offering training in collaboration with the University of Salamanca. It includes talks in departments and schools, dual university training, an industrial doctorate, micro-credentials, and student mentoring, all designed to provide students with a deep and practical insight into the culture and scope of business. Finally, the Alumni community hub brings together more than 35,000 members of the U of Salamanca community, more than 50,000 alumni members, and more than 200,000 alumni, creating an ideal face-to-face and digital space for companies and executives to list jobs, participate in networking events and facilitate product and service transactions.

More than 50 companies, entities, institutions and non-profit organisations in Salamanca, Ávila and Zamora have already joined the programme.

Iberdrola España, creating value for society

Iberdrola España wants to continue its strong relationship with the province of Zamora and with all the parties involved, and to this end it is committed to retaining and attracting young talent. It is returning to its origins with a focus on the future, talent and innovation. The facilities that have housed Iberdrola España's Hydraulics Laboratory for decades, a world benchmark in engineering next to the Ricobayo dam, have recently been transformed into a pioneering project: an innovation and training centre through which nearly 1,000 future professionals from all corners of Spain will pass every year.
