The El Bulevar shopping centre in Ávila is plugging into sustainable mobility with Iberdrola España
- Up to 26 electric cars will be able to charge their batteries with 100% green energy, combating climate change and transitioning to a model independent of fossil fuels
- The charging infrastructure set up is free to access and will be available to all electric vehicle users 24 hours a day
The El Bulevar shopping centre in Ávila and Iberdrola España have joined forces in the fight against climate change and sustainable mobility by setting up a major hub of semi-fast, fast and ultra-fast charging points, capable of recharging 200 kilometres of electric vehicle autonomy in 5 to 40 minutes, in this shopping centre in the capital of Ávila.
The charging infrastructure installed in the centre's car park is for public use and is available to all electric vehicle users 24 hours a day. Up to 26 electric cars can charge at the same time.
All the points installed have 100% green energy from renewable sources with guaranteed origin, which helps to combat climate change and achieve a transition to a fossil fuel-independent model.
Users can find these points on the company's network using the Iberdrola Public Charging App, the most highly rated in the industry, where they can view and geolocate verified information on all chargers, check operation in real time and reserve and pay from their phones.
"We continue to lead the way towards a more sustainable and innovative future. The increase in the use of electric vehicles in Spain makes this initiative an increasingly necessary service. El Bulevar not only responds to market demands, but also positions itself as a benchmark in sustainability within retail", says Antonio Rodriguez, manager of El Bulevar.
El Bulevar is leading the way towards the future of shopping centres, demonstrating that we can combine recreation and sustainability in the same space. This transformation not only benefits its visitors, but also positions Ávila as a leading city in green and technological initiatives.
