Iberdrola España Management Team
Iberdrola España's management team is responsible for the organisation and strategic coordination of the company. Its ultimate goal is to maximise the company's operational efficiency, always committed to innovation, sustainability and excellence.
The business model of the Iberdrola Group, of which Iberdrola España forms part, is based on the coexistence of a decentralised structure of decision-making processes and the global integration of the group's businesses. This system streamlines daily decision-making by the parent companies of the businesses, which in Iberdrola España are Iberdrola Energía Sostenible España, i-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes and Iberdrola Energía España.
Mario Ruiz-Tagle
CEO of Iberdrola España
Mario Ruiz-Tagle holds a degree in Law and Social Sciences and a Master's degree in Business Administration and Finance. He is currently the CEO of Iberdrola España.
Ruiz-Tagle is responsible for the day-to-day management and direction of the Company, under the supervision of the Board of Directors. Additionally, he is responsible for promoting the application of the corporate policies and general management guidelines of the Iberdrola Group within the scope of the Company's activities and for the financial performance of the Company. Another of its functions is to ensure that the parent companies of businesses in which the Company has an interest implement the policies, strategies, and general guidelines with projection at the level of the Iberdrola Group, taking into account the characteristics and particularities of their respective businesses.
He also represents the company before government bodies and external institutions. He was appointed CEO following his successful management of Neoenergia, the Brazilian subsidiary of the Iberdrola Group.

David Martínez
CEO of Iberdrola Energía España, S.A.U.
David Martínez is an Industrial Engineer and has held the position of CEO of Iberdrola Energía España, S.A.U. since 2023. He is responsible for the day-to-day management and direction of Iberdrola Energía España, S.A.U., under the supervision of its Board of Directors. Iberdrola Energía España, S.A.U. is the parent company of the Iberdrola Group's businesses in Spain.
David Martínez is responsible for the marketing and supply of electricity and natural gas to end users, as well as products and services focused on decarbonisation and the purchase and sale of energy on wholesale markets. Its responsibilities include coordinating strategies to ensure sales targets are met and efficient management of the customer portfolio.
Previously, he held the position of Commercial Delegate for Cantabria, La Rioja, Navarra and the Basque Country in Iberdrola Clientes, S.A.U., with responsibility for sales in these autonomous communities.
Eva Mancera
CEO of i-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, S.A.U.
Eva Mancera is an Electrical Engineer and joined the Iberdrola Group in 1996.
In 2020, she was appointed CEO of I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, S.A.U.
She is responsible for the day-to-day management and direction of I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, S.A.U., under the supervision of its Board of Directors. I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, S.A.U. is the parent company of the Iberdrola Group's businesses for carrying out regulated electricity distribution activities in the areas of Spain in which it operates. Its corporate purpose is oriented exclusively towards the performance of such activities, subject to the provisions of the Electricity Industry Law and the Code of Incompatible Activities of Iberdrola Group España Companies with Regulated Activities.
She is also responsible for implementing strategies to maximise business results through efficient management of the electricity distribution network and its regulated processes.
Julio Castro
CEO of Iberdrola Energía Sostenible España, S.A.U.
Julio Castro is an Industrial Engineer and holds a degree in Business Management. He joined the Iberdrola Group in 1998. He is currently the CEO of Iberdrola Energía Sostenible, S.A.U.
He is responsible for the day-to-day management and direction of Iberdrola Energía Sostenible, S.A.U., under the supervision of its Board of Directors. Iberdrola Energía Sostenible, S.A.U. is the parent company of the Iberdrola Group's businesses in Spain.
He carries out deregulated activities of electricity generation and commercialisation of electricity through sustainable energy sources and, consequently, all kinds of activities, works and services related to the business of electricity production and commercialisation through installations that use sustainable energy sources.
Previously, he held the position of Global Director of Regulation of the Iberdrola Group and Director of Gas. Castro is also a director of Iberdrola Renovables Internacional.
Iban Molina
Director Green Hydrogen at Iberdrola España
Iban Molina is a Civil Engineer and holds a Master's degree in Business Administration. He is Director of Green Hydrogen at Iberdrola España since 2023.
Molina is responsible for the implementation of this innovative, sustainable and abundant energy alternative, which is key to meet the challenges of decarbonising the economy.

Manuel Cabezudo
Director of Administration and Control of Iberdrola España
Manuel Cabezudo holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration. He was appointed Director of Administration and Control of Iberdrola España and member of its Committee in 2014.
His responsibilities include ensuring compliance with the Iberdrola Group's commitments in Spain through management control that guarantees the appropriate use of resources, promotes operational efficiency and actively collaborates in the process of defining the strategy.
He is also currently a member of the Board of Directors of Iberdrola Energía España and Iberdrola Energía Sostenible.
Álvaro Murga
Director of People and Organisation at Iberdrola España
Álvaro Murga is the Director of People and Organisation at Iberdrola España.
Murga is responsible for designing and leading the development of the company's workforce management strategies and guidelines to ensure that the company and its employees meet the objectives set in the most satisfactory and efficient manner possible.
Francisco de Borja García Ruiz
Director of Legal Services of Iberdrola España
Francisco de Borja García Ruiz holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Law. He has been Director of Legal Services at Iberdrola España since 2023.
García Ruiz is responsible for ensuring that the company always acts within the current legal and regulatory framework. He joined the company in 2006.
Francisco Calleja
Regulatory Director of Iberdrola España
Francisco Calleja holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration, a Master's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Management. He joined the Iberdrola Group in 1998 and, since 2018, he is Regulatory Director of Iberdrola España.
Calleja is responsible, in coordination with the company's businesses, for drafting regulatory proposals and establishing dialogue with the administration, the legislature, associations and other stakeholders in regulatory matters.
Zaloa Lesta
Chief Compliance Officer of Iberdrola España
Zaloa Lesta holds a degree in Business Administration and Management, a Master's Degree in Management Skills and a Master's Degree in Auditing and Management Development. She is also a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional. She joined the Iberdrola Group in 2013 and, since 2021, she is Chief Compliance Officer of Iberdrola España.
Zaloa heads Iberdrola España's Compliance Unit, which is responsible for the implementation and supervision of its compliance system, managing whistleblowing channels and promoting an ethical culture.
Eduardo Yagüe
Director of Internal Audit of Iberdrola España
Eduardo Yagüe holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration and is a certified internal auditor by the International Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). He joined the Iberdrola Group in 1999 and, since 2014, he has held the position of Internal Audit Director of Iberdrola España.
Yagüe is responsible for leading actions to independently and proactively ensure the effectiveness of the company's governance processes, risk management and internal controls.
